Valentin Estevez
Dr. Valentin Estevez is a labor economist and Vice President at Charles River Associates, where he consults and serves as an expert witness in employment discrimination and wage and hour matters. He regularly prepares proactive statistical analyses of compliance with pay equity, wage and hour, and artificial intelligence usage regulations. Dr. Estevez also supports companies undergoing audits from government agencies such as the EEOC, OFCCP, and the California CRD. Dr. Estevez has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the NILG Advisory Council and a lecturer in economics at Texas A&M University.

Happy First Anniversary, New Scheduling Letter! Lessons Learned and a Look Ahead

Contractors began receiving OFCCPâs new scheduling letter almost a year ago. The new letter increased the scope and size of contractorsâ submissions and shortened substantially contractorsâ time to respond. The letterâs first anniversary is the perfect time for these presenters to discuss contractorsâ experiences navigating the new requirements and to hear the agencyâs feedback about the submission process and the approaches it follows when evaluating contractorsâ submissions. Attendees will hear about:
- Their peersâ experiences collecting the required items, engaging with the agency to submit responses promptly, and responding to the agencyâs statistical analyses of the data submission
- The panelistsâ experience with the new scheduling letter and valuable advice for contractors to expedite the review of future submissions
- Best practices to design and execute statistical analyses based on the expanded compensation data submission.
