Tony Magaro, executive director of the Human Resources Department at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Tony received the National Industry Liaison Group’s (NILG) 2017 Lois Baumerich Lifetime Achievement Award today for his work promoting equal opportunity and affirmative action. Magaro has been with SwRI for over 50 years. He joined SwRI in 1969 as a student clerk. Magaro transferred to human resources in 1989, now leading the Human Resources and Compensation function.
